What is a "Virtual" Career Fair (VCF) and how does it work?

The Sinclair College Virtual Career Fair is a website that allows participating organizations to operate a "virtual" recruiting booth from any Internet ready computer.
Companies and organizations can provide information about their products and services, current news, recruiting efforts, marketing strategies, and career opportunities. This information, in turn, will be browsed by interested Sinclair students and graduates who wish to learn more about those companies. The Career Fair allows employers and students to exchange information via email or website in the same way as a physical Job Fair.

For organizations, how do we set-up a "virtual booth" at the VCF?

After registering, you will receive a password that will allow you to login to your adminstration area and customize your “virtual booth”. By completing the online forms in the Admin area you will supply information visible to visitors to your virtual booth.

Companies without email or Internet access that wish to participate can submit an Offline Company Booth form by fax or mail. We will create your booth from the information provided on your form . If you need assistance in setting up your booth, call or email us.

How will a participating organization know if any individuals visit their booth?

Each organization’s booth has a visitor counter attached. Employer representatives may at any given time know how many visitors have visited their booth.

How will individuals participate in the VCF?

Students and alumni participate by visiting booths - just like face-to-face career fairs. They may learn about the employment opportunities, as well as an organization’s products or services, history, location, and other relevant information. You can attend at a time convenient to your schedule, whether at 2 p.m. or 2 a.m. Even individuals who work days can participate because the fair is open 24 hours.

I’m a Visitor. How can I benefit from participating in this job fair?

Visitors can attend the VCF and visit the Virtual booths to find out if the employers have any open positions available. If positions do exist then Visitors are encouraged to submit their credentials to those employers for consideration. Since this event is a Career fair, employers may attend the Fair and promote their organization without having any “current” job openings.

I’m representing an organization. How will I benefit from participating in this job fair?

The VCF can connect you with qualified candidates for any current or future positions your organization may have. It can also help to advertise your company's products and services and promote your company to the community via students and alumni attending the VCF.

How do I sign up my organization to participate?
